Arbor Day is a celebration of trees. Each state chooses its own date, so check the first link below to find out when it is in your state. J. Sterling Morton moved to Nebraska in pioneer days. Then, the state had no trees, and he and the other pioneers missed them. They were needed to make Nebraska a good place to live, as well as a pretty one.
